Fun Folds Around The Bend

Image
Hi Crafting Friend, Today I have three variations of a fun fold anniversary card to share with you. The fun fold was C.A.S.E.d from a card by Debbie Mageed. (Thanks for the inspiration, Debbie!)  The card base is 5 1/2 X 11, scored, folded and burnished at 4 1/4 and 8 1/2 on the long side. For the flap you need DSP or cardstock cut to 2 1/4 X 5 1/4 Line it up on the flap and cut them both at the same time so it lines up perfectly when you adhere it. For the section under the flap, the DSP is cut to 4 X 5 1/4. The Basic White insert is also 4 X 5 1/4 with a 3/4 X 4 strip of DSP on one side and stamped with the Happy Anniversary sentiment from the Always In My Heart stamp set.*  For the Wild Wheat version of the card, the front sentiment is stamped on a 1/2 strip of white, trimmed to size and mounted on a 3/4 strip of Wild Wheat trimmed to 1/4 longer than the white strip. Then it was adhered to the front of the card with Dimensionals. For the Blueberry Bushel and Moody Mauve versions of

Super Simple Cards From a Calendar

Image
Hi Crafting Friend, Do you still use a calendar? I do, I love the beautiful pictures and having it right there on my refrigerator to reference each day as I feed Brida and make my morning tea.  At the end of the year I hate to throw it away, so this year I cut it up and made 28 cards with it. I used 14 sheets of colored cardstock for the bases (2 cards per sheet, color coordinated to the pictures) and 7 sheets of white for the inserts. It took me a couple of hours and I am beyond thrilled with the results. What do you think? Is this something you might try? Quiet Reflection In Crumb Cake

Hi Crafting Friend, Today's card is one I made for a swap for the new Mini Catalog. The card base is Pecan Pie cardstock cut to 8.5 X 5.5 scored on the long side at 4.25 folded and burnished with your Bone Folder so it lays nice and flat.  The first layer is Crumb Cake cardstock cut to 4 X 5.25 and run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine in the "hashtag" folder from the Basics Embossing Folders. (an online exclusive)  The final layer is Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 3.75 X 5 The image is stamped with Crumb Cake  and the sentiment is stamped with Early Espresso. Adhere the two layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue . Cut two pieces of Linen Thread slightly longer than the width of the card base, loop them together as shown in the photo and tape the ends on the back of the layers. Use Dimensionals to adhere the assembled layers to the card base.  The insert is Very Vanilla cut to 4 X 5.25 and adhered inside the card to complete it.  All the produc

Hello Hills of Tuscany Fun Fold Card

Image
Hi Crafting Friend, Welcome to 2024, the new Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. This Spring Mini catalog is always my favorite, especially when you add the benefits of Sale-A-Bration to it. There are so many adorable stamp sets, dies, DSPs and other goodies! Do you like this catalog as much as I do?  Today's card uses the Hills of Tuscany stamp set. The images were stamped directly onto the DSP, (house - white craft ink, roof - Cherry Cobbler, trees and sentiment - Shaded Spruce) the house was then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The card base is Shaded Spruce cut to 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 and scored on the long side at 2 3/4 and 4 1/4. Fold it in half and then fold the card front back as shown in the photos below.  The Gorgeous Grape layers are 1 7/8 X 5 1/4 for the front and inside left; and 4 X 5 1/4 for the right side.  Cut a 1 inch strip off the top of the DSP to use on another project, then cut 2 pieces, each 1 3/4 wide from the left side (the trees that you sta
