Nature's Prints On My Mind Card

Image
Hi Crafting Friend, We're playing with Nature's Prints stamps and Natural Prints dies  this week. The card base is Blueberry Bushel cut at 4 1/4 X 11 and scored at 5 1/2 so that the card opens vertically.  The embossed layer is Basic White , embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  For this card I chose to define the background of the embossed image by inking the front of  the E.F. with  Crumb Cake  before embossing it. (the side with the line and the logo printed on it) To do this just drag the open ink pad across the inside of the open embossing folder on the side you want to define/highlight. Position your cardstock on the uninked side then close the E.F. so that the inked side makes contact wtih the cardstock and run it through the machine. I love how it adds to the distressed look of the design, don't you?  The focal point is comprised of a 2 5/8 Basic White square randomly stamped with the texture stamp and  Cajun Craze ink, (stamp off once each time

Charming Sentiments - Everything Wonderful Card

Hi Crafting Friend, This simple, versatile card could be given for many occasions and its easy to make too!  The card base is Petal Pink , 8.5 X 5.5 scored at 4.25 on the long side and folded in half.  The insert is Basic White , 4 X 5.25 and adhered inside with adhesive of your choice.  The first layer on the card front is Basic White cut to 4 X 5.25 and I lightly marked the center vertically and horizontally with a pencil to make it easier to place the 4 rectangles of Hello Irresistible DSP  that form the next layer. Each rectangle measures 2 & 3/8ths X 1 & 7/8ths. (the fractions are easier than the decimals in this case) They are butted up against each other in the center and may even overlap a tiny bit depending on how precise the measuring & cutting of the pieces is.  The sentiment is on a Basic White die-cut made using Sentimental Park dies. It is stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and popped up on Dimensionals . The card is finished off with a large Iridescent Rhinest

Nature's Thank You Card

Hi Crafting Friend, I designed this card for a challenge in a private Facebook group, but I thought you might like to see it. The challenge was to use one or more of the new In-Colors. If one is good, then all five must be better, right? Here's how to make it: The Pebbled Path card base is 8.5 X 5.5, scored on the long side at 4.25 The first layer is Wild Wheat cut to 4 X 5.25 then a layer of Very Vanilla cut to 3.75 X 5 On the Vanilla layer I stamped the "splotch" (stamped off once each time) with Bojo Blue and the Ginkgo leaves with Old Olive . (not an In-Color, but it goes well with them. It was stamped off once then stamped a couple of times without re-inking) All the die-cut pieces are cut from Wild Wheat except the one above and to the left of the sentiment. It and the border around the sentiment are cut from Copper Clay. The stamping on the die-cut images was done with Wild Wheat. The die-cut for the sentiment was cut twice, once in Very Vanilla and once in Co
