Grassy Grove Clean & Simple Card

 Hi Crafting Friend,

This card was inspired by a couple of cards I saw on the Facebook Clean & Simple Cardmaking page.  (by Tracey Agli & Darla Anderson Welch) They were both mostly white with some color blending and minor stamping behind the tree dies they used. I thought of these stamps & dies when I saw them.

The card base is 8.5 X 5.5 scored on the long side at 4.25 then folded and burnished to lay flat.

The doe and fawn were each die-cut twice, once with Pecan Pie and once with Basic Black then layered together with the black in the front. Place black mini dimensionals as shown in the photo below.

The "moon" is a 1 inch punched Lemon Lolly circle.

The grove of trees was also die-cut twice, once on a 4 X 5.25 piece of Early Eapresso, the second on a piece of Early Espresso just barely bigger than the die itself. The smaller die-cut was off set behind the larger, then Multipurpose Liquid Glue was used at the bottom edge of the smaller die-cut to secure them together. Black dimensionals and mini dimensionals were placed from about the middle to the top to keep the layers separated.

The insert (not pictured) was die-cut from Very Vanilla using the Scalloped Contour dies.

Once everything was prepared and roughly put into postion, the backings at the top of the grove of trees were removed and the tops of the trees adhered to the card front. At this point, the bottom of the grove of trees layer could be lifted to ensure proper positioning of the other elements.

Next, the "moon" was adhered to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The positioning of the deer was decided, small dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue applied to the feet, legs and back end of both deer, fianlly the backings were removed from the dimensionals and they were set inbto place.

The last step is to adhere the insert to the inside of the card and decorate it as desired.
