Sending Support In The Country Stairway Card

Image
Hi Stamping Friend, Everyone needs some encouragement now and then. The Sending Support Sale-A-Bration stamp set is perfect for whatever support you are trying to offer and it can be yours for free with a qualifying* purchase of $50 while supplies last or until February 28, 2023. Today I paired it with another Sale-A-Bration set, In The Country, but it could be paired with images from many different stamp sets making it very versatile. This card is an easy fun fold called an easel card because it stands up for display. The products used are listed below the photos. I hope you are inspired to create something you love today. Thanks for stopping by. Framed Beautiful Thistle Card

Image
Hi Stamping Friend, The card I'm sharing with you today is very basic, it is a portrait orientation that opens vertically. A layer with a stamped, die-cut focal point on the front and an insert inside. A sponge dauber with Highland Heather brought some definition to the edges of the focal point (fussy cut around the die-cut hearts) and to the insert. I used the Beautiful Thistles stamp set with the technique where you apply ink to the stamp with markers instead of an ink pad for all my stamped images. The colors I used are Gorgeous Grape from the Stampin' Write Brights collection, and Old Olive from the Stampin' Write Regals collection. This allowed me to "color" my thistles while stamping them and to change the sentiment slightly to suit what I wanted to say (because I chose not to ink all the words). I also used the Stampin' Write Gorgeous Grape marker to color the baker's twine and give it a variegated look.  I'm really pleased with how it turned

Dandy Color & Contour Slide Lock Encouragement Card

Hi Stamping Friend, Today's card is a fun fold with a slide lock that also serves as the focal point of the card. The card itself is Designer Series Paper (5.25 X 12 scored at 2, 4, 8 & 10) mounted on a quarter sheet of cardstock. (5.5 X 4.25) When you fold on the score lines, it helps to leave a tiny gap in the center as shown in the photo below.  The white insert is 5 X 3.75    The layering Circles dies work perfectly for the slide lock mechanism. To make it, cut 4 circles, 2 slightly smaller than the other 2.  Fold the smaller circles in half, then, with folded edges together, adhere them to one of the larger circles making sure they are centered on it. Adhere the other larger circle on top of the 2 folded circles, again making sure it is centered. When you look at it from the side, it will look like an "X".  I used Stampin' Write markers in Granny Apple Green (Brights) & Pale Papaya (2021-2023 In-Colors) to ink up the outline stamps.
