July 2022 Paper Pumpkin Cards & Alternatives

Image
Hi Stamping Friend, Have you tried Paper Pumpkin yet? If you haven't you are really missing out on some adorable cards! The top photo is the cards from this month's kit as designed (except for extra ink colors used to jazz up the envelopes). They are so cute, I can't get over it or say it enough!!  The bottom photo is of a few alternate designs that I came up with using some of the coordinating ink colors, sponge daubers and a scrap of Basic White cardstock with some of the remaining kit elements. I still have 3 more card bases and a few more die cuts to play with, but that may not be enough. I think I need a refill! The current host code is:   UCPCQ92X.  Please use it if you choose to order a 1, 3 or 6 month prepaid subscription or a monthly pay as you go subscription. Sale-A-Bration is the best time to purchase a 12 month subscription to Paper Pumpkin, but  don't use the host code  to order 12 months prepaid (or on any order that is $150 or more before tax & ship

Diamond Z Fold Card and a Bit of a Rant.

Hi Stamping Friend, Well let me tell you, the fun never ends around here! My medical oncologist told me on the 12th that my immune system was as good as hers or my husband Brian's - Great News! I was so excited to not be cooped up all the time as I have been.  My kids came up for dinner on the 14th, I made Chicken Paprikash - comfort food. On the 15th I went to physical therapy, grabbed a slice of pizza at Costco for lunch & ate it in my car, then went for a dry run of my radiation which was due to begin on Monday, the 18th.  Every time I went out in public to where there were going to be people I didn't know, I wore a mask as I have been doing all along.  On Sunday afternoon, after coming home from my religious meeting (1st time going in person in months), I had a scratchy throat. I thought it was from talking and trying to sing through a mask. Monday morning I felt pretty bad, took a COVID test and got a negative result. Went to radiation, came home and went back to bed.

4 Card 6X6 One Sheet Wonder with Wonderful World DSP

Image
Hi Stamping Friend, I'm always on the lookout for OSW formulas and this is a good one designed by Meg Daves (Thank You Meg). As you can see, it makes 4 cards quickly and easily with just a tiny .75X2 piece of DSP leftover as scrap. Give it a try, I bet you'll love it. The list of products I used is below the photos with links for easy shopping. Here's a tip to stretch your cardstock a little, punch your sentiment pieces from the Basic White layer of each card before you assemble them. Nobody will ever know because the DSP covers it completely.  This beautiful DSP along with a coordinating stamp set is part of a Sale-A-Bration bundle called Wonderful World. It is available free* with a $100 purchase from Stampin' Up!® during July & August. I would love to be your Stampin' Up! demonstrator if you need someone to shop with. My current host code is always in the header on the main page of my blog. Links to view the current catalogs are also on the main page. I send

Show Off Both Sides of Your Beautiful Designer Series Paper

Image
Hi Stampin' Friend, Do you find that your DSP is so pretty that you can't decide which side to use? Well now you don't have to choose, this cute card shows off both sides! Cut your cardstock into a 5.5 inch square, score at 1.25 inches, fold and burnish on the score line. Cut your DSP to 4 X 6, then trim a half inch off (to use inside) leaving you with a 4 X 5.5 piece which you adhere to the 1.25 inch "front" of your card. Adhere a 4 X 5.25 inch piece of Basic White cardstock inside, then adhere the 4 X .5 inch strip on the bottom of that. Add some ribbon and a sentiment and you're all set. Hope you enjoy making these easy beautiful cards! Supply lists are below each set of photos and the current host code is always at the top of the home page of my blog.
