Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card #3

Image
Hi Crafting Friend, The Mountain Majesties kit delivered a breathtaking array of watercolor-style mountain scenes, rustic sentiments, and outdoor-inspired embellishments. But if you're like me, you only want to make one of each of the standard card designs. Enter the gatefold card – a simple yet elegant alteration that transforms one of the card bases into something interactive and eye-catching. Let’s explore how to turn one of the Mountain Majesties card bases into a gatefold masterpiece. 🌄 What is a Gatefold Card? A gatefold card opens from the center, with two side flaps that meet in the middle—like opening a pair of barn doors. It offers a dramatic presentation and gives you extra space to showcase layers, sentiments, and embellishments in a more dynamic way. This is the third and final alternative card for the Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin Kit that I'll be posting because the new kit will be shipping soon. Let's play!  Card Front Card with left flap opened B...

Hi Crafting Friend, Ready for round 2 of Alternatives for this month's Paper Pumpkin? OK, let's go! Start with the Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin kit, add some cardstock, sponge daubers, blending brushes and extra ink and turn it into a jazzed up fun fold card. CARD BASE: Petal Pink cardstock - 4 1/4" X 11" scored, folded and burnished at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2" to form an "Easel" card.  CARD FRONT: Cut the card base on the score line and set aside half of it for another use. On the remaining half, using sponge daubers, ink the edges in the matching colors. Petal Pink, Pecan Pie, Misty Moonlight (Stampin' Spot included in kit) and Basic Gray were used for the card shown. Punch a circle ( 1 3/8" - 1 1/2" in size ) out of a 4 1/2" square piece of computer paper.  Position the paper so the circle is where you want it, then using a Blending Brush and Darling Duckling ink, apply the ink inside the punched circle to form the sun.  Hi Crafting Friend, I just got my May Paper Pumpkin and decided to play around with it. I started by cutting one card base in half. I'll decide what to do with them one at a time, but I know that I can get at least 18 cards from the kit just by doing that and adding a few basic supplies that I have on hand. Almost all the supplies used to make the card came from the Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin Kit.  (when you get your first Paper Pumpkin kit a "D" size Clear Block is included) The additional supplies are the Basic Gray cardstock  used for the card base, Basic White cardstock for  the insert,  Multipurpose Liquid Glue  and the Secret Sea Classic Stampin' Pad that the sentiment was stamped with. It would look just as good stamped with the Misty Moonlight Stampin' Spot also included in the kit, but I wanted to use a new color. Oh yeah, a Bone Folder was used to burnish the folded score lines and a  Simply Shammy was used to clean the stamp af...
