Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card #1

 Hi Crafting Friend,

I just got my May Paper Pumpkin and decided to play around with it. I started by cutting one card base in half. I'll decide what to do with them one at a time, but I know that I can get at least 18 cards from the kit just by doing that and adding a few basic supplies that I have on hand.

Almost all the supplies used to make the card came from the Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin Kit. (when you get your first Paper Pumpkin kit a "D" size Clear Block is included) The additional supplies are the Basic Gray cardstock used for the card base, Basic White cardstock for the insert, Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the Secret Sea Classic Stampin' Pad that the sentiment was stamped with. It would look just as good stamped with the Misty Moonlight Stampin' Spot also included in the kit, but I wanted to use a new color. Oh yeah, a Bone Folder was used to burnish the folded score lines and a Simply Shammy was used to clean the stamp afterward. Here's how the card was made.

CARD BASE:

  1. Basic Gray cardstock - 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored, folded and burnished at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4" to make a "Z" Fold.
INSERT:

  1. Basic White cardstock - 4" X 5 1/4" Adhere inside card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
CARD FRONT:

  1. Cut the original card base from the kit in half
  2. Trim one of the halves to 4" X 5 1/4" by removing 1/8" from all 4 sides. Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the 2 1/8" X 5 1/2" section of the card base and adhere the piece that was just trimmed, leaving an even border on the top, bottom and left side. This is the front of the card.
  3. Stamp the sentiment using the stamps provided in the kit and Secret Sea ink.
  4. Trim the water and mountain layer provided in the kit to 4" wide by removing 1/8" from both sides. Adhere to the card front with Dimensionals.
  5. Adhere the tree layer provided in the kit with Dimensionals.

CARD INSIDE:

  1. Adhere the white rectangle from the kit to the section next to the insert, then adhere the sentiment to that as shown in the 2nd photo below.
