Heartfelt Hexagon & Perennial Lavender Sympathy Card

Hi Crafting Friend,
The Perennial Lavender DSP was still on my desk along with the Heartfelt Hexagon stamps and punch so, that's what I started with. Instead of waiting until I need one, I decided to make a Sympathy card with them. I really like the way it looks. What do you think?

      Card Front                                                                 Inside/Insert

Here's how to duplicate it:
CARD BASE
  1. Crumb Cake cardstock cut to 8 1/2" X 5 1/2"
  2. Score, Fold and Burnish at 4 1/4" on the long side.
INSERT
  1. Very Vanilla cardstock 4 1/2" X 4" edged with Pecan Pie ink and a 3/4" X 4" strip of Perennial Lavender DSP edged with Pecan Pie ink adhered next to it on the left side.
CARD FRONT
  1. Punch 9 - 10 hexagons from the Perennial Lavender DSP and one from Very Vanilla or Crumb Cake cardstock using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. Using a Sponge Dauber, ink the edges with Pecan Pie ink. Stamp the sentiment on a light neutral colored DSP hexagon with Pecan Pie ink. Crumb Cake cardstock would be a good substitute for the light neutral colored DSP. Adhere the cardstock hexagon to the back of the sentiment hexagon.
  2. On the card front, lightly draw horizontal and vertical lines with a pencil to mark the center.
  3. Using the pencil lines as guides, adhere the hexagon with the sentiment to the center of the card front. Erase the pencil lines.
  4. Adhere additional hexagons evenly spaced from the first one, covering the entire card front. Some will hang over the sides, trim these even with the edge of the card front.
  5. Ink the edge of the card front with Pecan Pie ink.
All the products used are linked below, but this technique will work with multiple punches and any DSP you may have in your stash. Get creative and have fun with it!
