Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card #2

 Hi Crafting Friend,

Ready for round 2 of Alternatives for this month's Paper Pumpkin? OK, let's go! Start with the Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin kit, add some cardstock, sponge daubers, blending brushes and extra ink and turn it into a jazzed up fun fold card.

CARD BASE:

  1. Petal Pink cardstock - 4 1/4" X 11" scored, folded and burnished at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2" to form an "Easel" card.
CARD FRONT:
  1. Cut the card base on the score line and set aside half of it for another use.
  2. On the remaining half, using sponge daubers, ink the edges in the matching colors. Petal Pink, Pecan Pie, Misty Moonlight (Stampin' Spot included in kit) and Basic Gray were used for the card shown.
  3. Punch a circle (1 3/8" - 1 1/2" in size) out of a 4 1/2" square piece of computer paper.
  4.  Position the paper so the circle is where you want it, then using a Blending Brush and Darling Duckling ink, apply the ink inside the punched circle to form the sun. (as shown below)
  5. Stamp the birds using Basic Gray.
  6. Ink the various layers of cardstock and vellum using the matching ink colors and sponge daubers.
  7. Add Dimensionals and/or Mini Dimensionals to the reverse side of the layers and adhere them to the card front. Preplan the placement of the Dimensionals so they are not stacked. If they are, the card may have to be hand cancelled by the post office when you mail it and that costs extra.
  8. Adhere the card front to the bottom 4 1/4" X 2 3/4" section of the card base.
SENTIMENT:
  1. On a 2 3/8" X 1 3/4" labels (or a scrap of Basic White the same size) stamp the sentiment using Basic Gray.
  2. Leave approximately 1 1/8" of space beneath the sentiment label and adhere the label to the inside of the card using Dimensionals to act as a bumper to hold up the card front for display.

All supplies used are linked below the photos, including the ones that were included in the kit in case you want to try to replicate it without the kit supplies. If you decide to make this card, let me know how it goes.

Phoenix Fan Fusion starts tomorrow, that's where I'll be this weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by MissQsCraftingContinuum, Live Long & Craft On! -Susan 🌄🖖
