Simple Calendar Cards With Garden Meadow and Perennial Lavender

 Hi Crafting Friend,

It's February and I almost forgot that I had a bunch of 2 7/8" X 2 1/4" calendars that I had ordered from Vippies (you can also find similar calendars on Amazon) to make cards for customers and my team. Thank goodness I remembered! These are some I whipped up over the last couple of days. They are very basic, but they came out cute. I have about a half dozen calendars left that I might use to make anniversary cards. Everything I used to make the cards is linked below the photo. I'll run down the basic instructions, but the fine points I'll leave up to you.

CARD BASE

  1. Crumb Cake cardstock cut to 4 1/4" X 11 scored, folded and burnished at 5 1/4"

INSERT

  1. Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 4" X 4 1/2" with a 4" X 3/4" strip of DSP underneath

CARD FRONT

  1. The Perennial Lavender DSP layer is 4" X 5 1/4"
  2. Position the self-adhesive calendar on the bottom of the card front, centering it
  3. The sentiment is from the Garden Meadow stamp set and the border is from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set. They are stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock* and punched with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. Use Dimensionals to adhere it above the calendar.
  4. Add a large Brushed Brass Butterfly to finish it off if desired.
(*On a couple of the cards, I stamped the sentiment directly on the DSP and stamped a couple of lady bugs from the Mixed Florals stamp set instead of using the Brushed Brass Butterflies. To color the lady bugs, I used the Real Red ink pad and a Blender Pen)
