Say “Hello Friend” with the Storybook Friends Bundle!

Hi Crafting Friend,

There’s something magical about handmade cards, especially when they tell a little story of their own. Today, I’m excited to share a sweet “Hello Friend” card made using the Stampin’ Up! Storybook Friends Bundle. This bundle has stolen my heart with its whimsical, illustrated critters and charming sentiments straight out of a children’s book.

  1. For this card, start by embossing your card front with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder to add dimension. 
  1. Use a Sponge Dauber to edge 2 different soft, pastel DSPs with Misty Moonlight ink. (I used a couple pieces from the sheet above)
  2. Then arrrange them on the card front to give it a dreamy storybook feel. 
  3. Use Versamark and Black embossing powder set with the Heat Tool for the image of the bunny. 
  4. Classic Stampin' Pads and a Blender Pen add color to bring the bunny image to life. You could also use Watercolor Pencils, Blends or any other coloring tools you have. 
  5. Adhere the bunny to the card front with Mini Dimensionals. 
  6. The sentiment “Hello Friend” fits perfectly on a 1/2" strip of cardstock under the bunny. 
  7. You can dress it up by adding a bow tied from ribbon or linen thread or add a few gems to really give it some bling.
  8. Inside, some Basic White and a strip of one of the same DSPs from the front, both edged with the same beautiful Misty Moonlight as the card base. Don't you love the way Stampin' Up! products are color coordinated?

Hi Crafting Friend, The Perennial Lavender DSP was still on my desk along with the Heartfelt Hexagon stamps and punch so, that's what I started with. Instead of waiting until I need one, I decided to make a Sympathy card with them. I really like the way it looks. Hello Hills of Tuscany Fun Fold Card

 Hi Crafting Friend, Welcome to 2024, the new Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. This Spring Mini catalog is always my favorite, especially when you add the benefits of Sale-A-Bration to it. There are so many adorable stamp sets, dies, DSPs and other goodies! Do you like this catalog as much as I do?  Today's card uses the Hills of Tuscany stamp set. The images were stamped directly onto the DSP, (house - white craft ink, roof - Cherry Cobbler, trees and sentiment - Shaded Spruce) the house was then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The card base is Shaded Spruce cut to 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 and scored on the long side at 2 3/4 and 4 1/4. Hello Happy Sea Turtle Card

 Hi Stamping Friend, The card I have for you this week is the second of three I designed for the swap using products from the new January-April 2023 Mini catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I paired the Sea Turtle and Happy Labels stamp sets from the mini catalog with Delicate Edges dies and Texture Chic DSP from the annual catalog. To me they seem made for each other.  This card is really quite simple if you have the basic tools. The DSP makes a perfect background. The turtle is fussy cut, the "seaweed" is die-cut. I gave the seaweed & turtle some dimension by using my bone folder to add some curl to the paper. The turtle is popped up with dimensionals, the seaweed is adhered with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, but I played with it, making sure some areas were slightly raised off the paper so it looks like it could be moving in the water.
