Lone Tree in the Meandering Meadow

Hi Crafting Friend,
Let me start off by apologizing for not posting last week. It's been a crazy couple of weeks. I had friends staying with me for a few days & I wasn't prepared so the blogpost slipped through the cracks. I will try to do better.
That being said, I'm very happy with the way the card turned out this week. The Meandering Meadow DSP is so pretty and works well with so many stamp sets. This week I paired it with the online exclusive set, Frosted Forest. I used the bird and sentiments stamps and the deciduous tree trunk, foliage and bird dies. The bundle also includes a set of decorative masks, but I didn't use them on this card.
The card base is Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored, folded and burnished at 4 1/4" on the long side.
All the stamping was done with Tuxedo Black Memento ink
The birds on the card front were die-cut from the reverse side of a strip left over after trimming the Meandering Meadows DSP to 4" X 5 1/4" for the layer on the front of the card. It was adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Alternatively, Pecan Pie cardstock could be used for the birds and Thoughtful Journey DSP would be a pretty good substitute for the DSP.
The cardstock for the tree trunk and foliage were put on Adhesive Sheets before die-cutting to make it easier to adhere them to the card front. The tree trunk is die-cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and the foliage for the tree was die-cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock
The birds wer adhered using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals
All the supplies used are linked below for your convenience. The current host code is always at the top of the blog.
