Comforting Thoughts on Lily Pond Lane Card 1
Hi Crafting Fiend,
I took inspoiration for today's card from Christine Bertram & Rose Coleman who designed a class around the Lily Pond Lane DSP. The idea was that you use whatever sentiments you may already have on hand. I loved that idea, so here is my version of their Gatefold card.
The card base is Granny Apple Green cut to 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored, folded and burnished at 2 1/8" & 6 3/8" to form the basic Gatefold.
The cattail print DSP is 2 pieces cut to 1 7/8" X 5 1/4" and adhered to the two sides of the card front leaving an even border around all the edges.
The focal piece is a stitched rectangle die-cut that is 3" X 4 3/8" that I found in my scraps, a piece cut to 3" X 4" would work just fine. Only put adhesive on the left side of the focal piece when adhering it to the card front. The DSP is 2 3/8" X 3 3/4" The sentiment is stamped with Pretty Peacock. The mama & baby ducks were fussy cut and adhered with Dimensionals. The cattails were also fussy cut. I used multipurpose Liquid at the base of them and pieces of cut up Dimensionals at the top to make it look like it is growing out of the paper.
