Feathered Flight Thinking of You in Shaded Spruce
Hi Crafting Friend,
Well, here we are in the last week of May already! Can you believe it? That means the super awesome joining special that has been going on all month is nearing its end. Details near the end of the post...
Meanwhile, here is the card I designed for this week's blog post. Its a fun fold, but I have no idea what its called.
The card base is Shaded Spruce cut to 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" It is scored, folded and burnished at 4 1/4" on the long side. Cut a circle out of the front using the 3 1/4" Dots & Dashes Spotlight On Nature die. Set it aside to save for a future card. Randomly stamp the small group of 3 ducks all over the front of the card with Shaded Spruce.
Stamp the large duck with outspread wings and the "pond" (stamp off once) on a piece of Basic White that is about 3 1/2" square, then die-cut it using the same die that you used to cut the window out of the front of the card.
Die-cut a piece of Shaded Spruce with the Deckled Circle die that is about 3 1/2".
Adhere the die-cut with the duck to the Shaded Spruce Deckled Circle with Mini Dimensionals.
The inner card is 8" X 5 1/4" scored, folded and burnished at 4" on the long side. Adhere it inside the card base so it opens in the opposite direction with a border all around it. (from left to right) Inside, stamp both the sentiment on the left side, and the other duck on the right side, with Shaded Spruce.
Line up the layered die-cuts in the window of the card front and apply adhesive to the back of the Shaded Spruce die-cut Deckled Circle. Close the card so that the layered die-cuts are positioned in the window.
Stamp the outside sentiment on a 1/2" strip of Basic White, then trim to about 2". Adhere it to the card front where desired (I put it where I did to cover up a very obvious halo) That's it, pretty simple, huh? All the products used are linked below the photos.
