Hi Stamping Friends,
Today I thought I would share a few tips with you instead of a project. After all, one can never have too many tips. Don't you agree? 😉
1) Do you need a little bling on your project, but you don't have any gems in the right color? Use your Stampin’ Blends™ to
color any of your clear or frosted gem embellishments to the perfect color to
match your project!
2) A plastic spoon is a very handy tool to include with your
stamping supplies in case your ink pads are too juicy for your Distinktive™ stamps
to give you a good detailed image. All you do is use the edge of the
spoon to gently push the ink over to the side of the ink pad. Your image may be
lighter, but you will get all the beautiful detail built into the distinktive™ stamps. Then afterward, just use your spoon to push the ink back to the center
of the pad. Distinktive™ Stamp List on pg 114 of the Annual Catalog. 3) Get more use from your sentiment stamps! Many sentiment stamps can be used to create a different message
with a bit of masking. It’s really quite simple, just arrange your stamps on
the block, then place a piece of tape over the part of the stamp/s you don’t want
to use. You can use washi tape, clear tape, blue painter’s tape or any other
kind of tape that has a low-tack. Ink up your stamp, remove the tape and stamp
your image.
4) Easy Scoring on your card bases -- Whenever you use
Thick cardstock (Whisper White or Very Vanilla) or when your card base is 4 ¼”
x 11″, you can be sure you have a clean fold
in your card if you use the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, and then fold
with the “mountain” or raised side of
the score to the inside of your card. Burnishing the fold with a bone folder
will make it nice and crisp. If you have any tips or tricks that you'd like to share, please leave them in the comments below. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Susan
