Strips of Beauty: Easy & Elegant Card with Floral Impressions DSP
Hi Crafting Friend,
Are you looking for a fun and creative way to use up those beautiful bits of Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) you’ve been holding onto? Today I’m sharing a card design that makes them the star of the show!
Project Highlight:
This card is made entirely with strips of coordinating DSP. It’s a simple layout with maximum impact—perfect for any occasion and a great way to use your paper stash thoughtfully.
How To:
Cut your card base - Basic Black, 4 1/4" X 11"
Score, fold, and burnish at 5 1/2" on the long side.
Cut your insert - Basic White, 4" X 5 1/4"
Stamp the floral image on the bottom right corner of the insert and adhere it inside the card base.
-
Cut four coordinating strips of DSP - 1” X 5 1/4" each
-
Arrange and adhere the strips across the front of your card leaving a tiny gap above, below, between, and on each side of them.
Stamp your sentiment on a die-cut label or tag and adhere to the card front with Mini Dimensionals.
-
Finish the card by adding embellishments like rhinestones and/or a bow tied from ribbon or twine.
This layout is beginner-friendly but also fun for seasoned crafters to play around with. Every card turns out unique depending on the paper you choose!
Tip: Use DSP from the same paper pack for a cohesive look, or mix collections for a bold, eclectic vibe.
