Strips of Beauty: Easy & Elegant Card with Floral Impressions DSP

 Hi Crafting Friend, 

Are you looking for a fun and creative way to use up those beautiful bits of Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) you’ve been holding onto? Today I’m sharing a card design that makes them the star of the show!

Project Highlight:
This card is made entirely with strips of coordinating DSP. It’s a simple layout with maximum impact—perfect for any occasion and a great way to use your paper stash thoughtfully.

How To:

  1. Cut your card base - Basic Black, 4 1/4" X 11" 

  2. Score, fold, and burnish at 5 1/2" on the long side.

  3. Cut your insert - Basic White, 4" X 5 1/4" 

  4. Stamp the floral image on the bottom right corner of the insert and adhere it inside the card base.

  5. Cut four coordinating strips of DSP - 1” X 5 1/4" each

  6. Arrange and adhere the strips across the front of your card leaving a tiny gap above, below, between, and on each side of them. 

  7. Stamp your sentiment on a die-cut label or tag and adhere to the card front with Mini Dimensionals.

  8. Finish the card by adding embellishments like rhinestones and/or a bow tied from ribbon or twine.

This layout is beginner-friendly but also fun for seasoned crafters to play around with. Every card turns out unique depending on the paper you choose!

Tip: Use DSP from the same paper pack for a cohesive look, or mix collections for a bold, eclectic vibe.

Hi Crafting Friend, The Perennial Lavender DSP was still on my desk along with the Heartfelt Hexagon stamps and punch so, that's what I started with. Instead of waiting until I need one, I decided to make a Sympathy card with them. I really like the way it looks. Hello Hills of Tuscany Fun Fold Card

 Hi Crafting Friend, Welcome to 2024, the new Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. This Spring Mini catalog is always my favorite, especially when you add the benefits of Sale-A-Bration to it. There are so many adorable stamp sets, dies, DSPs and other goodies! Do you like this catalog as much as I do?  Today's card uses the Hills of Tuscany stamp set. The images were stamped directly onto the DSP, (house - white craft ink, roof - Cherry Cobbler, trees and sentiment - Shaded Spruce) the house was then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The card base is Shaded Spruce cut to 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 and scored on the long side at 2 3/4 and 4 1/4.  Hi Crafting Friends, Here we are in 2025. The weather has been cold, but not too cold, which I greatly appreciate. I woke up to hazy skies this morning and my mind went immediately to the fires over in California. My heart goes out to all those that have had to flee and leave their belongings behind to be consumed by the raging flames. If you or anyone you know are near those areas, I hope you are all safe!
