Easy, Colorful Card

 Hi Crafting Friend,

Here's an easy colorful card that uses one 6" X 6" piece of DSP. Here's how to make it.

CARD BASE

  1. Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock - 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored, folded and burnished at 4 1/4" on the long side.
CARD FRONT

  1. DSP Layer - 4" X 5 1/4" Stamp the bar image from the Bright Borders stamp set using the same colors as your DSP, in this case, Lemon Lime Twist and Pumpkin Pie. 
  2. Ink the edges of the layer with sponge daubers and the same ink colors
  3. Adhere the layer to the front of the card base. 

FOCAL POINT

  1. Punch your tag out of the 2" strip leftover after cutting the cardstock layer. Try to line it up so that the colors are the same. 
  2. Ink the edges of the label using sponge daubers and the same ink colors. 
  3. Stamp the sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. 
  4. Stamp the hearts with Melon Mambo.
  5. Adhere it to the card front using Dimensionals.
INSERT

  1. Basic White Cardstock - 4" X 4 1/2"
  2. Adhere inside the card leaving an even border at the top and on the right and left sides.
  3. Cut the 3/4" X 4" strip from the leftover of the DSP.
  4. Stamp the hearts with Melon Mambo.
  5. Adhere under the Basic White, lining up the sides and leaving a border on the bottom.

Hi Crafting Friend, The Perennial Lavender DSP was still on my desk along with the Heartfelt Hexagon stamps and punch so, that's what I started with. Hello Hills of Tuscany Fun Fold Card

 Hi Crafting Friend, Welcome to 2024, the new Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. This Spring Mini catalog is always my favorite, especially when you add the benefits of Sale-A-Bration to it. There are so many adorable stamp sets, dies, DSPs and other goodies! Do you like this catalog as much as I do?  Today's card uses the Hills of Tuscany stamp set. The images were stamped directly onto the DSP, (house - white craft ink, roof - Cherry Cobbler, trees and sentiment - Shaded Spruce) the house was then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The card base is Shaded Spruce cut to 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 and scored on the long side at 2 3/4 and 4 1/4. Hello Happy Sea Turtle Card

 Hi Stamping Friend, The card I have for you this week is the second of three I designed for the swap using products from the new January-April 2023 Mini catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I paired the Sea Turtle and Happy Labels stamp sets from the mini catalog with Delicate Edges dies and Texture Chic DSP from the annual catalog. To me they seem made for each other.  This card is really quite simple if you have the basic tools. The DSP makes a perfect background. The turtle is fussy cut, the "seaweed" is die-cut. I gave the seaweed & turtle some dimension by using my bone folder to add some curl to the paper. The turtle is popped up with dimensionals, the seaweed is adhered with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, but I played with it, making sure some areas were slightly raised off the paper so it looks like it could be moving in the water.
