Red Rock Star Guitar Card

 Hi Crafting Friend,

Here's a card to make for all your "rockstar" friends! 

The card base is Basic Black, 5 1/2" X  8 1/2" scored on the long side at 4 1/4" folded and burnished so it lays nice and flat.

For the card front, the DSP layer is the black and blue print from Earthen Elegance cut to 5 1/4" X 4" The guitar is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic Black cardstock. The neck and center part of the body are fussy cut from the image, cutting off the knobs at the top of the neck. Stamp the guitar again with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Sweet Sorbet cardstock and fussy cut or die-cut the entire guitar, again, cutting off the knobs at the top of the neck. Adhere the black neck and center of the body to the red guitar. Use the Take Your Pick Tool with the pointed tip to poke holes for the strings and use white thread and a needle to "string" the guitar, coming up from the back and down through the front until you have 4 strings. Tape the ends of the thread on the back of the body of the guitar. Use a hole punch or Crop-O-Dile to make the volume and tone knobs with Sweet Sorbet cardstock. Decide the positioning for the guitar and stamp just the top of the neck (where the knobs are to tighten the strings) then adhere the guitar on top with black dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Sweet Sorbet cardstock and fussy cut. (it can be die-cut, but since I fussy cut everything else, I decided to fussy cut this too)  Adhere it to the card front with black dimensionals.

The insert is Basic White, 5 1/4" X 4"  and if desired, you can put a 3/4" X 4" strip of the DSP used on the card front inside too.

Hello Hills of Tuscany Fun Fold Card

 Hi Crafting Friend, Welcome to 2024, the new Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. This Spring Mini catalog is always my favorite, especially when you add the benefits of Sale-A-Bration to it. There are so many adorable stamp sets, dies, DSPs and other goodies! Do you like this catalog as much as I do?  Today's card uses the Hills of Tuscany stamp set. The images were stamped directly onto the DSP, (house - white craft ink, roof - Cherry Cobbler, trees and sentiment - Shaded Spruce) the house was then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The card base is Shaded Spruce cut to 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 and scored on the long side at 2 3/4 and 4 1/4. Grassy Grove Clean & Simple Card

 Hi Crafting Friend, This card was inspired by a couple of cards I saw on the Facebook Clean & Simple Cardmaking page.  (by Tracey Agli & Darla Anderson Welch) They were both mostly white with some color blending and minor stamping behind the tree dies they used. I thought of these stamps & dies when I saw them.  The card base is 8.5 X 5.5 scored on the long side at 4.25 then folded and burnished to lay flat. The doe and fawn were each die-cut twice, once with Pecan Pie and once with Basic Black then layered together with the black in the front. Place black mini dimensionals as shown in the photo below.  The "moon" is a 1 inch punched Lemon Lolly circle.  The grove of trees was also die-cut twice, once on a 4 X 5.25 piece of Early Eapresso, the second on a piece of Early Espresso just barely bigger than the die itself. Hello Happy Sea Turtle Card

 Hi Stamping Friend, The card I have for you this week is the second of three I designed for the swap using products from the new January-April 2023 Mini catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I paired the Sea Turtle and Happy Labels stamp sets from the mini catalog with Delicate Edges dies and Texture Chic DSP from the annual catalog. To me they seem made for each other.  This card is really quite simple if you have the basic tools. The DSP makes a perfect background. The turtle is fussy cut, the "seaweed" is die-cut. I gave the seaweed & turtle some dimension by using my bone folder to add some curl to the paper. The turtle is popped up with dimensionals, the seaweed is adhered with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, but I played with it, making sure some areas were slightly raised off the paper so it looks like it could be moving in the water.
