Bunny Playing In The Rain Card

Hi Crafting Friend,

We have been having rainy days lately. That calls for a rainy day card and this bunny is having fun playing in the rain. 

The card base is 8 1/2 inches X 5 1/2 inches, scored at 4 1/4 inches, folded and burnished so it lays nice and flat when closed.

The insert is Basic White cardstock cut to 4 X 5 1/4  inches.

The DSP layer on the front is comprised of prints from two different packs.  The first is Bright & Beautiful (4 inches X 5 1/4 inches) for the sky and the second, Earthen Elegance, (4 inches X 7/8 inches, top was rounded slightly) for the ground. The clouds and raindrops were stamped with Misty Moonlight, then the clouds were colored with Misty Moonlight and a sponge dauber to make them look stormy. Adhere the sky to the card front, then adhere the ground at the bottom of the card front and set the card aside.

The bunny is stamped on Basic White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then die-cut. Bubble Gum Stampin' Blends were used to color the bunny's nose, and inside his ears. Berry Burst Stampin' Blends for his raincoat and Crumb Cake for his gloves. The raindrops on the bunny are Misty Moonlight stamped off once so they aren't so intense.

The bridge is die-cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and the bunny is adhered to the back side of it so it looks like he's standing on it. Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals were put on the back of the bunny to lift him up a bit, while the sides of the bridge were adhered with Multi Purpose Liquid Glue directly to the DSP layer. 

The sentiment is stamped on Basic White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then fussy cut and popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals below the bridge.

Hello Hills of Tuscany Fun Fold Card

 Hi Crafting Friend, Welcome to 2024, the new Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. This Spring Mini catalog is always my favorite, especially when you add the benefits of Sale-A-Bration to it. There are so many adorable stamp sets, dies, DSPs and other goodies! Do you like this catalog as much as I do?  Today's card uses the Hills of Tuscany stamp set. The images were stamped directly onto the DSP, (house - white craft ink, roof - Cherry Cobbler, trees and sentiment - Shaded Spruce) the house was then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The card base is Shaded Spruce cut to 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 and scored on the long side at 2 3/4 and 4 1/4. Fold it in half and then fold the card front back as shown in the photos below.  The Gorgeous Grape layers are 1 7/8 X 5 1/4 for the front and inside left; and 4 X 5 1/4 for the right side.  Cut a 1 inch strip off the top of the DSP to use on another project, then cut 2 pieces, each 1 3/4 wide from the left side (the trees that you sta

Grassy Grove Clean & Simple Card

 Hi Crafting Friend, This card was inspired by a couple of cards I saw on the Facebook Clean & Simple Cardmaking page.  (by Tracey Agli & Darla Anderson Welch) They were both mostly white with some color blending and minor stamping behind the tree dies they used. I thought of these stamps & dies when I saw them.  The card base is 8.5 X 5.5 scored on the long side at 4.25 then folded and burnished to lay flat. The doe and fawn were each die-cut twice, once with Pecan Pie and once with Basic Black then layered together with the black in the front. Place black mini dimensionals as shown in the photo below.  The "moon" is a 1 inch punched Lemon Lolly circle.  The grove of trees was also die-cut twice, once on a 4 X 5.25 piece of Early Eapresso, the second on a piece of Early Espresso just barely bigger than the die itself. Hello Happy Sea Turtle Card

 Hi Stamping Friend, The card I have for you this week is the second of three I designed for the swap using products from the new January-April 2023 Mini catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I paired the Sea Turtle and Happy Labels stamp sets from the mini catalog with Delicate Edges dies and Texture Chic DSP from the annual catalog. To me they seem made for each other.  This card is really quite simple if you have the basic tools. The DSP makes a perfect background. The turtle is fussy cut, the "seaweed" is die-cut. I gave the seaweed & turtle some dimension by using my bone folder to add some curl to the paper. The turtle is popped up with dimensionals, the seaweed is adhered with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, but I played with it, making sure some areas were slightly raised off the paper so it looks like it could be moving in the water.
