Around The Bend & Hope You Know Simple Stamping Cards

 Hi Crafting Friend,

I have two cards for you today, both simple stamping; same design, but different colors. I will separate the products used for each card into two different lists for you so you can be sure of which colors were used on each card.

Both cards started the same, lay a piece of Basic White cut to 3.75 X 5 on a sheet of grid paper. I used the stencils shown in the photo in the same order for both cards, except with a different color combination for each.

Begin with the "sentiment label" held in place on the Basic White layer with a couple of glue dots rolled around in your fingers to take most of the sticky off. On top of that, the more open of the large stencils carefully taped to the grid paper and leaving the white layer exposed. Using a blending brush with the Lemon Lolly ink pad, I covered most of the layer lightly, holding down the stencils with my other hand to keep them from moving.

For Card 1 the next color blended in was Calypso Coral, but I left space between where the sentiment mask is and where the color was applied. Next was Poppy Parade mostly around the edges, and finally Sweet Sorbet just in the corners. Remove the large stencil and carefully put the other large stencil in the same place and position as the previous one, leaving the "sentiment' mask in place. Stencil the "floral" with Sweet Sorbet. Remove all the stencils and place the one with the opening of the sentiment over where the mask was previously, blend in with Lemon Lolly. Remove it, then stamp your sentiment with Memento Black ink. The card base is Sweet Sorbet (8.5 X 5.5 scored at 4.25 on the long side). The Lemon Lolly layer is 4 X 5.25. You can pop one layer with dimensionals or adhere the layers together before adding the dimensionals.

For Card 2, the second color is Lemon Lime Twist, then Azure Afternoon and last, Blueberry Bushel. For this card use the stencil with the sentiment opening and the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker (fine tip) to trace the shape onto the card layer. The card base is Garden Green. (same dimensions and scoring as card 1) This card also has a Lemon Lolly layer, same as card 1.
