Delightfully Sentimental Thanks

 Hi Crafting Friend,

I can't believe I've been home from the Star Trek convention for over a week now. I was so busy that I never did attend the swap. That's OK, I'll save my cards for next year's swap and probably make more throughout the year.

If you are interested in seeing some of my pictures from the convention, you can visit either of my Facebook pages (MissQsCraftingContinuum or Susan Harwood, my personal page). I posted pics from my phone on both. I haven't yet downloaded the pics from my camera onto my computer. When I do, I'll post a few of those here in my blog, as well as on my personal Facebook page.

I'm currently on a thank you card kick because I never seem to have them when I need them. I don't like to make bunches of the exact same card unless they need to be the same for some reason. (a swap, for example) So, here are 2 variations on the same basic card, one oriented horizontally, the other vertically. Both use a half sheet of cardstock (8.5 X 5.5 scored on the long side at 4.25) for the base. Both have a DSP layer that is 4 X 5.25, the orientaion of the design matters here. Both use the same sentiment stamped on Basic White.

The differences are as follows: For the horizontal card, The card base is Pumpkin Pie and there is no layer under the DSP. Also, the sentiment is only matted once with Pumpkin Pie.

For the vertical card, the card base is Basic White. There is a 4 &1/8 X 5 &3/8 layer of Calypso Coral under the DSP and the sentiment has an extra layer of matting (Basic Black & Calypso Coral)

Easy cards, but I think the DSP gives them an elegant look and feel. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by. Live Long & Craft On! - Susan 🌄🖖
